AI SRE Update: Your Feedback Shaped Our Latest Release

At Mezmo, we believe the best observability tools aren't just built for users, they're built with them. Since the launch of Mezmo's AI SRE agent, we've listened and learned from our customers. The feedback and insights have been invaluable in helping our teams refine and enhance the experience. Today, we're excited to share our latest release, packed with improvements and powerful new capabilities that make our AI SRE even faster and more intuitive.
What's New in This Release
Enhanced User Experience:
- Inline prompt and query scope guidance for large queries to help you craft more effective requests
- Streaming progress updates so you can follow along as the AI works through your query
- Direct links back to error logs for transparency - gotta have those receipts!
- Ability to cancel requests giving you full control over long-running operations
- Better performance across the board for faster insights
Powerful new capabilities and prompts:
- Aggregate and summarize logs by field values to quickly understand patterns in your data
- What are my top apps?
- What is the sum of _mezmo_line_size for my top apps?
- Show the min, max, avg, and p99 of _mezmo_line_size for my top apps
- Find all apps with errors over the last 24 hours
- Visualize log patterns over time to identify trends and anomalies at a glance
- Help me identify spikes in log throughput over the last 24 hours
- Look for spikes in errors for app nginx over the last 12 hours
- Visualize the average duration for app redis in hourly buckets over the last 24 hours
- Discover available fields for searching and filtering, making it easier to explore your logs
- Which fields can I search that contain 'size'?
- Show all my number fields
- Get log counts for queries to understand the scope of issues
- How many logs exist for query: app:nginx level:error?
- Retrieve surrounding context for a specific log line to see the full picture
- Analyze the lines surrounding a specific log line
