LogDNA is excited to welcome Angel Oberoi as our new Head of Demand Generation.We asked her some important questions...
What were you doing previously?
I ran Industry Marketing and Customer Enablement at Snowflake Computing. Prior to that, I was with Google Cloud and Apigee running enterprise demand generation programs.Over the years, my marketing initiatives and customer acquisition campaigns have helped drive over $30 million in revenue, for start-ups and companies such as Snowflake, Google Cloud/Apigee, TIBCO LogLogic and Cenzic.I’m now thrilled to be a part of LogDNA and look forward to our journey as we grow and continue to deliver great results and success, for our customers and ourselves.
What city are you originally from?
Originally from Patiala, a beautiful small town in Punjab, North India. I moved to the Bay Area in 1997 and have been here since.
What is your favorite food, drink, or restaurant?
I'm not a big foodie, so anything fresh, healthy and well-made goes!For drinks - Masala Chai Tea, Vanilla Latte or plain H2O.Restaurants - Calave (California Fusion Cuisine), Emperor of India (Indian) and Adega (Peruvian food -- this one is a Michelin star rated, hidden jewel of a restaurant located in a strip mall area of San Jose!)
What's your favorite flavor of cake?
Tres De Leche or Tiramisu
What do you like to do for fun?
In my free time, you'll find me volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children in foster care or spending family time solving puzzles and playing board games with my daughters.
If you could instantly pick up a superhero power, what would it be?
The power to clone and be in two places at the same time. Double the efficiency, double productivity and double the fun!
What’s an interesting fact about you that people wouldn’t guess?
I have published 3 educational graphic novels on American History under my publishing label, 'Gossamer Books'. This venture came about as a result of my mentoring work with Project Read, helping children with their school work @ the library - I was constantly challenged by the lack of good books to make learning History non-cumbersome, more fun and visually appealing.
My books were mapped to CA state school standards for 4th-6th graders and the first one, Abraham Lincoln: The Civil War President, won a 'Book of the Year' award by Publisher's weekly. Following that, I went on to publish the story of the California Gold Rush and one on the Lewis & Clark adventures...I have copies by my desk, so come by and check them out!Fun Trivia: I'm also a character in one of the books. Extra points if you can guess my character... :)
