We are thrilled to announce that Mezmo has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Vendors for Managing IT Performance in 2022 by Digital Enterprise Journal (DEJ). This list was created in response to DEJ’s study, 24 Key Areas Shaping IT Performance Markets in 2022. DEJ analysts surveyed more than 3,300 organizations around a variety of topics to craft a comprehensive understanding of the state of these programs today.

It’s no surprise that the observability landscape has become more complex over the last few years. As a result, it is increasingly difficult to evaluate solutions and ensure you're using the right mix of tools for your unique challenges. With this research, DEJ provides deep insight into the challenges your peers are facing and the best solutions available to address them. IT Performance Report Findings

The report includes nearly thirty pages of research on the areas that have the biggest impact on IT performance. DEJ analysts compressed this into twenty four key areas ranging from “enabling unique customer experiences” to “maximizing the value of open source.” Here is a snapshot of the findings:

    • 3.6x return on investment (ROI) from effectively adopting a cloud native approach
    • $46 million average annual loss due to a lack of automation capabilities for managing IT performance (including release delays, incident prevention and resolution, and more)
    • 66% of mean time to resolution (MTTR) is spent identifying the change that is causing a problem
    • 68% of IT teams’ time is spent on tasks that do not contribute to key business outcomes

“The study showed the complexity of managing IT performance and, therefore, the need for finding the right mix of solutions that are the best fit for the organization’s individual needs,” the report explains. “This also calls for innovative approaches for solving key issues and vendors included in this report showcase vision, market understanding and proven solutions for addressing top user requirements.”

How Mezmo Addresses IT Performance Challenges

This recognition from DEJ comes on the heels of Mezmo rebranding from LogDNA, the developer-loved log management brand since 2015. Although we’re expanding our brand and set of solutions, some of the things that made us stand out to DEJ have been core to our business since day one. One of these is that we’re cloud native and have proven our ability to scale with customers like IBM Cloud and 6 River Systems, a Shopify brand. DEJ dubbed Mezmo a leader in the following categories:

    • Data management and analytics at scale
    • Enabling unique customer experiences
    • Enabling a cloud native journey
    • Managing innovation
    • Maximizing the value of open source
    • Focus on high-value work
    • Observability – value, potential, and confusion
    • Vendor selection

“One of the key strengths of Mezmo's platform is addressing challenges around the cost of observability, as it provides control of data flowing into destinations while eliminating observability risk,” the report says. “In addition to the 8 areas listed, Mezmo’s offerings are very well aligned with areas such optimization and visibility into inefficiencies, managing complexity, and use cases, especially hybrid cloud and enabling Managed Service Providers (MSPs).”
