Welcome, Jae Kim!
4 MIN READ

LogDNA is excited to welcome Jae Kim as our newest Sales Engineer!Jae was previously a Sales Engineer at Hedvig, which makes a software-defined storage product. Born in the Bay Area, he actually lived in numerous places, as well as abroad. We're glad he returned to the Bay so he could join our team!We asked him some important questions...
What city are you originally from?
I grew up in San Francisco and have lived elsewhere, including abroad.
What is your favorite food?
It's a tie between Indian and Mexican.
What's your favorite cake?
Either chocolate cheesecake or German chocolate cake. My favorite flavor of pie is key lime.
What do you like to do for fun?
I'm mostly cycling lately, and I'm now up to 3 bikes (fixed gear, hybrid, and a road bike for longer rides). I also climb, hike/backpack, and I'm a bit of a food-science nerd along the lines of America's Test Kitchen and Modernist Cuisine.
If you could instantly pick up a superhero power, what would it be?
It's either teleportation or super-healing.
What’s an interesting fact about you that people wouldn’t guess?
I speak near fluent German and dabble in a handful of other languages. I'm working on learning Lithuanian this year. I also find fun in pronouncing unprounceable words, e.g. Eyjafjallajökull (a volcano in Iceland) or Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (a town in Wales).
PS. We're hiring. Check out our current job postings and apply today.
